Posada's Unknown Calaveras (book)

What are Posada's unknown calaveras? The literary calaveras: satirical poems written as epitaphs, to critique or make fun of living individuals, mostly political figures or other in the public eye. This book gathers 100 calavera rhymes accompanied by a relevant image created by Posada in wood print. In this book. It also includes an English translation of each poem, as well as an introduction delving on the origins of this Mexican tradition, popular during Day of the Dead.

This book was printed by Floricanto Press, and you can buy it for $19.95 (ebook also available for half the price. Thanks for our support!
